I’m always very open to new cultures and opinions and I find that by doing that, I can have a better acceptance of people and situations.

I’m glad that in the course of my work as a designer, I had the opportunity to meet various people from all walks of life. One year, I met an Irish friend and we hit off pretty well. I remembered buying her some st. patricks berries on St Patrick’s day and she was so touched. Even though we had moved to different places, technology allows us to stay in touch and I am so happy.

With emails and social networking, there is no reason why people can’t stay in touch with friends living across the miles!

Technology is moving so fast and the advancement is just amazing.

My son came back with username and password for his reading assignment and he’s telling me that he needs a couple of USBs for his assignments. I find it hard to believe that this is happening in grade one and he’s only seven years old. I was thinking of ordering the pdf page counter for my hubby since he’s also one techie person to begin with.

It looks like the whole family can’t live without technology and I believe we aren’t the only ones feeling this way!

After a long absence from home, it’s good to be back in the lion city.

I like the convenience of walking around town without a car. I feel so happy that I can see the familiar stuff and visit my favorite stores and restaurants. My mom showed me a few gold coins in my collection and she’s expecting me to get a quote for her. I think I would need to find time to do it for her so that she won’t pester me throughout the trip.

I believe technology has changed the way we appreciate and receive music these days.

My seven year old dances to the beat of music and he knows quite a lot about certain music and artistes. One of our friends were showing me some dj mixers catalogues last week and he was taking interest in them. I’m not sure if he would follow music as his passion in years to come but I know he’s rather musically inclined. Perhaps he might just take up a musical instrument when the day comes… It’s all up to him.

One of the things I am thankful for in this 21st century is the easy access to technology.

My husband has been on holiday three weeks ago and he managed to get some business proposals without his office equipment. I thought that was very clever of him. I’m still trying to get more done with the little stuff I brought with me. Besides I don’t my computer with me so it’s quite hard getting some serious stuff done. But I should just take it easy and relax while I can since I’m on a vacation too!

So what do I buy for an elderly man who seems to have everything? He was successful and ambitious and now, he’s retired and relaxing by the pool most mornings.

Well, perhaps a gift basket of his favourite things would be great. Maybe he will appreciate a nice collection of cigar to be added to his extensive collection. I don’t know much about that but I am sure I can gather more information on the worldwide web. Gift baskets would be ‘safe’ as a gift but I find it rather impersonal sometimes. Perhaps I should go shopping online now!

I don’t know why but I find it hard to resist jewelry shopping. It is nice to behold those beautiful glitters though I often end up keeping them in the drawer. They are nice to keep and look at but I am not so discipline in storing them after use. I was looking at some steel pendants as they are easier to maintain and don’t rust like some other metals. Besides they don’t oxidize like silver does and it lasts longer.

After a long decision, they have decided to go to Krabi in December and I’m happy that we can enjoy some nice island trips.

I plan to do some shopping for my long vacation to Asia begins and I am excited to return home. It will be an adjustment as far as the weather goes but it will be fine soon. A friend told me about scott kay jewelry and knowing that I’m an online shopper, she knew I would be keen. I would have to do some online shopping for my mom before going back. I don’t know why but retail therapy is so much fun!

A friend beeped me yesterday and asked if I am keen to do Japan next year.

I am thinking about it as I do like Japan for number of reasons. It’s a beautiful country to visit and there is much to do in this lovely place. Few years ago, I went into a store and bought lots of curios and my hubby couldn’t understand why! Then we went to a bargain store and there were more things to shop, including horse equipment!

Well, I’m still thinking if it’s feasible to do the trip. But maybe it’s too soon to even think about it!

These days, lots of children’s toys require batteries and that’s why we tend to stock up some for emergency uses.

I am considering buying rechargeable aa batteries as they last longer and it’s definitely cheaper than buying the regular ones. It is more environmentally friendly and I have to educate my son on that too. It is good that the school is teaching him that and he’s beginning to learn the simple concepts of eco friendliness.
