I wonder how many people believe in insurance – whether it’s travel insurance or home insurance. These days, if you purchase an air ticket with a credit card, you may be entitled to certain travel insurance coverages offered by your credit card company. Personally, we prefer to purchase a basic travel insurance for our families since you can never predict what may happen. I had heard of our friends’ stories who experienced flight delays that led to a few nights of stay in the stranded city. Thankfully, the travel insurance covered the extended stay and they didn’t have to fork out any money for the accommodation. Whatever it is, every traveler has his own preference so do what you are comfortable with.
