We are all geared up for our family vacation to Tokyo in few weeks time. I am comtemplating if it’s a good idea to buy a zoom lens for my Nikon D80 when I’m in Tokyo. From what I understand, Akihabara si one of he world’s largest and most impressive retail centers for electronics products and digital cameras! From my Tokyo travel guide, it seems that there are hundreds of electronic shops near Akihabara station and along Chuo Dori. From brand new computers, cameras, televisions, mobile phones and home appliances to second hand goods and electronic finds.

Major stores to look out for include Ishimaru Denki, Softmap and Laox which can be found along the main roads. Talk about the world of electronic shopping and retail – tokyo seems to have it all!
