I’ve always been asked this question by friends with children. They always ask if its better to do a tour package for their direct travel plans or going for free and easy.

Well, it all depends. Personally I always prefer a free and easy arrangement where I can compare hotels and find my own accommodations but if budget and time are the main concerns, a tour package may seem logical. My friend who owns a pet supplies store hardly has the time to go on a family vacation. Plus, he has a busy schedule everyday which makes it hard for him to plan for his direct travel.

As such, I would think a tour package is better for him and his family. That way, he doesn’t need to worry about choosing accommodation or looking for direct travel advice online. All he needs is to buy a tour package that suits his family budget and let the tour company does all the planning.
