The new year is here and as I flipped the newspapers this morning, I could see that travel companies are aggressively promoting travel vacations for 2010. With economy picking up in many countries, the travel industry is said to be busier with positive growth this year.

Well, the hotel industry will also see an upsurge of clientele as the economy improves. These days, hotels are attracting more guests with better facilities and amenities. Last year, we stayed in a four star business hotel in taipei and the room was equipped with a huge samsung led hdtv – how nice! Though the room size wasn’t big, the amenities made up for it and it was a lovely stay.

I have yet to think about my travel plans this year. There are so many places I want to see and go but just so little time! I haven’t been to japan in spring so that’s one thing I would like to do – see spring in japan. Taiwan seems like a nicer place to revisit and then again, I still miss my good ol’ Hong Kong for shopping!

Travel vacations are great when we live such busy lives everyday. They are good opportunities for us to catch up together as a family and grown closer to each other.
